Mixed Use Residential Towers at Joshua Creek - BNKC Architects
As a response to community growth in the Town of Oakville, ClockWork Condominiums aims to bring a mixed-use development to facilitate the city planning demands for increased urban density. Utilizing a site placement that maximizes solar exposure to units, the design driving the envelope uses stacked arrays of both outward and internalized balconies, to manage visibility, natural light, and privacy. The facade uses a window wall system with a unique terracotta panel cladding to create a luxurious texture permeating throughout the elevations. The building also takes advantage of a community geothermal well to offset the energy usage for the heating and cooling needs of the retail and residential units.
