The new corporate headquarter building for Manulife Financial within their Mississauga corporate park is a dedicated commercial office building for their business operation. With a strong design language that is articulated through a split and shift in the building' rectangular mass, creating a south and north architectural harmony that strikes a balance between unified yet independent elevations. Utilizing high efficiency insulated glazing units with continuous insulated spandrel panels, the 'glass box' concept is segmented with ceramic frit patterning, with dedicated frit-free zones associated with meeting room locations on the south elevation. On the north elevation, a volumetric expression of an extruded box complements the language of exterior frames of specific internal program areas.
