The Umm Al Quwain (UAQ) Canal Masterplan is a new community built around a 7km canal winding through a distributed cluster of neighbourhoods. The central district is a recreation and retail centre that includes two large marinas, that are connected to the sea through the winding waterway and associated residential districts. The residential clusters are intern dependent on the canal as a primary way finding, providing both pedestrian circulation as well as a continuous promenade to support a vibrant and active lifestyle for the new masterplan.
